National Life & General Insurance Co SAOG – The Total Insurance Solution Provider in the Sultanate of Oman has won a ‘Silver award’ for the 4th consecutive year in the category of Banking & Finance at the Oman Web Awards 2008. The scintillating awards ceremony was held at Hotel Al Bustan Palace on February 28, 2009, under the auspices of Information Technology Authority and the award for on behalf of National Life & General was received by Mr. Balaji .V, IT Manager.
National Life’s website has been receiving awards in this category every year since the inception of this award in the year 2005. The competition invites participation from all designers and developers with the initiative to promote the spirit of innovation and creativity, to raise the standards of web design and website services, to promote intellectual property awareness and encourage all sectors to become actively involved in the digital economy.
Commenting about winning the award for the 4th consecutive year, General Manager of National Life & General Insurance Company, Mr. S. recognize creativity and excellence and is

Oman Web Awards 2005, was organized by Darran LLc and advanced Business Solutions in strategic partnership with Omantel. The contest was conducted under 16 categories, including banks & financial institutions, corporates, directories & info services, entertainment, fashion, governmental organisations, industries, media and press, non-governmental organizations, personal, real estate, services, software & telecommunication, students, travel & tourism and transportation. In every category, three best websites were awarded gold, silver and bronze trophies.

strength rating of B+ (Very Good) and an issuer

A.M. Best expects NLIC to maintain its very good business position in Oman as the leading life insurer. NLIC provides group life creditor busines, life assurance, investment and medical protection products.
A.M. Best believes NLIC's risk-adjusted capitalisation is strong relative to its size and that capital and surplus will likely be sufficient to absorb an anticipated 50% increase in net written premium in 2005, mainly from large group medical protection business. The absolute amount of capital and surplus is small, however, when compared to other life companies.
